Abstract
  • God has been gracious to us in the Presbyterian Church of America. He has taught us to believe and to accept his covenant promise for ourselves and for our children. Along with this gracious promise comes a tremendous responsibility: to properly train these covenant children, whether our own or those of the families within our PCA churches. It is the intention of this paper to help pastors and elders to see that in light of the teaching of the Word of God on the importance of fulfilling the covenant command to train children, and in light of the conditions in the present and forseeable future in the secular school system, that every effort must be put forth to train these covenant children in the God-centered day school. The PCA teaching and ruling elders must lead the way in this God-given task.
